Terence Crawford is often credited with being one of the best fighters on the planet.
The 37-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska has enjoyed an accomplished career to date, capturing world titles across four-weight divisions and the undisputed championship at both super lightweight and welterweight.
‘Bud’ Crawford is now gearing up for arguably the toughest test of his career when he faces Mexican icon and fellow pound-for-pound star Canelo Alvarez in September, as he bids to become a five-division world champion and potentially a three-weight undisputed champion, so long as Canelo defeats IBF champion William Scull in May.
Aside from his upcoming showdown with Canelo, one fighter who has seemingly been feuding with the 37-year-old is three-weight world champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, with both fighters going back and forth across social media on multiple occasions during the last few months.
In an interview with Manouk Akopyan, ‘Bud’ was asked how he believes Shakur Stevenson can defeat ‘Tank’, as he claims the WBC champion, along with Keyshawn Davis, are the two best lightweights on the planet.
‘Tank’ Davis’ retained his WBA lightweight crown earlier this month after fighting to a split decision draw against Lamont Roach Jr, although many felt the challenger should have had his hand raised in what was an underwhelming performance by the 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland.
A rematch between Davis and Roach is expected to take place next, with both fighters reportedly keen on clashing once again following the controversy that surrounded the first fight.
