Jake Paul vs. Anthony JoshuaEddie Hearn thinks it could happen.

The Matchroom Boxing chairman addressed Paul’s recent comments concerning a potential matchup with Joshua, in which Paul said he will “f*cking beat Anthony Joshua’s ass.” Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion, is coming off of a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois and seeks his next big fight, and if Paul’s team is serious about making that happen then so is Hearn.

“To be honest, I look at it and I think Jake Paul against Anthony Joshua—for me, we’d do it for the banter,” Hearn said on Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel. “ ‘A.J.’ would fight Jake Paul. He’d fight anyone to be honest with you. If Jake Paul wants to step up and fight Anthony Joshua, he’ll need the relevant insurance.

“The only thing that was disappointing was he says 2026. That’s like me saying, ‘L.A. Olympics for the surfing in 2028, I’ll be there.’ Do it in 2025 if you really want to do it. You’re not going to get really much better at this stage. I don’t know. Those two have spoken, I spoke to A.J. this morning, he went, ‘Listen, of course I’d fight him.’”

Paul, a longtime YouTuber and social media influencer who has become one of boxing’s biggest stars, also seeks another big-name fight after a widely viewed clash with 58-year-old legend Mike Tyson this past November. That event, which streamed live on Netflix, shattered numerous viewership records while garnering considerable mainstream attention.

Hearn would be happy to do business with Paul, and he’s confident Joshua would as well.

“We know Jake creates massive events,” Hearn said. “You know that’s going to create unbelievable viewership and, no disrespect to Jake Paul, it’s a straightforward night’s work. But I like this calling out of Canelo [Alvarez] and all this. A.J. is another challenge up there. If they’re game, why not?”

Joshua has yet to address Paul’s comments himself, so for now Hearn is serving as his de facto spokesman. And he said whether it’s Paul or anyone else, Joshua is ready to get back in the ring.

“[Joshua] said, ‘Why not?’” Hearn said. “I said, ‘What do you want me to say when I’m asked about it?’ He said, ‘Tell everyone I’ll fight anyone, anytime, it’s not a problem for me.’”

Floyd Mayweather is once again making headlines in the boxing world, but this time, it’s not just about his undefeated record. The boxing legend has reportedly made a jaw-dropping demand before he agrees to step into the ring with social media sensation-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

What’s Mayweather Asking For?

Rumors are swirling that Mayweather is setting strict conditions for the potential fight. While the exact details remain under wraps, insiders suggest that his demand involves financial guarantees, fight rules, and even specific promotional rights. Given Mayweather’s history of controlling every aspect of his fights, this isn’t surprising, but it has left fans wondering—what is he really up to?

The Jake Paul Factor

Jake Paul has made a name for himself by calling out big-name fighters and delivering surprising performances in the ring. His recent wins have fueled speculation about whether he can actually go toe-to-toe with a boxing icon like Mayweather. However, with Mayweather’s latest demand, fans are questioning whether the fight will happen at all.

Will the Fight Happen?

With both fighters known for their ability to hype up matches, it’s hard to tell if this demand is a deal-breaker or just another marketing tactic. If the negotiations fall apart, fans will be left wondering what could have been. But if they agree, it could be one of the biggest spectacles in boxing history.

Stay tuned as this story develops—because when Mayweather and Jake Paul are involved, anything can happen!

Jake Paul continued: “And so there I am: No money, kind of hating myself, the whole world hates me. I’m drinking. I’m depressed and not having a good relationship with either of my parents or Logan. …I just felt wrong in life and by all the cards I had been dealt. It was (expletive up). I just tried to do good my whole life and here I am with what felt like nothing”

And, no, Paul said he did not go through with his catastrophic plan.

“I was not going to let them win,” he said. “I was like, ‘I’m going to fight. This is what every social media hater wants is to wake up and see Jake Paul killed himself.’ ”

Paul, who embarked on a pro boxing careeer in 2020, said the sport saved his life. He is 10-1 with seven knockouts and also co-founded Most Valuable Promotions, which manages a stable of fighters that include Amanda Serrano, a multiple-time world champion.

“It’s purpose, routine, health, community — all the things I needed,” he said. “Since 2020, it’s been boxing’s number one and everything else comes after that. I never really liked YouTube. I was just good at it.”

Jake Paul says he was physically abused by his father

Paul said his dad physically abused him and his brother, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and that the abuse lasted from childhood until the brothers left for Los Angeles in their late teens.

“He was punching us, slapping us, throwing us down the stairs, throwing things at us, mental abuse, manipulation,” said Jake Paul, who later explained, “say he’s on the phone, and my brother and I were whispering to each other. And he’s like, ‘Quit (expletive) whispering!’ and whips something at my head. There’s punishment and then there’s abuse. He just took his anger out on us. He’s going through a divorce, losing everything — and we were the closest people to him.’

Jake Paul might stir up controversies left and right, but when it comes to his girlfriend, he’s nothing but a rock. Since getting together in April 2023, we’ve seen him go all out for Jutta Leerdam. He’s always front and center, cheering at the top of his lungs. Earlier this year, the 2022 Beijing Olympic silver medalist proved yet again why she’s one of the best in the game. She dominated the National Sprint Championship, winning her fourth Dutch sprint title with a blistering 1000m time of 1 minute and 14 seconds. And get this, she beat Chloe Hoogendoorn just a day before her birthday. Talk about a double celebration! And of course, Jake was right there by her side, soaking it all in.

The 2025 World Speed Skating Championships took place this past weekend in Hamar, Norway and there was a high profile athlete in attendance as a spectator. Among the fans in attendance was high profile boxer Jake Paul of Cleveland, Ohio. One must realize that unlike most of the spectators, Paul had prime access to the infield where only competitors and important people can go. The reason? Well, it is because Paul is dating high-profile women’s speed skater Jutta Leerdam of the Netherlands.

Leerdam and Paul have been dating since April 2023 according to Francesca Gariano of today.com. While we have seen Leerdam at many boxing events, we have not seen Paul at many high speed skating events. For example, Paul was not in attendance at the 2024 World Speed Skating Championships in Calgary. I know this for a fact because I was there, and Leerdam was frequently asked by the public, “where’s Jake?” Well, I didn’t hear the answer, but knew that Paul was preparing for an upcoming fight against Mike Tyson.

Gervonta “Tank” Davis is no stranger to high-stakes fights, but ahead of a potential rematch with Lamont Roach Jr., he has been warned to fix a crucial mistake that could cost him dearly. The undefeated boxing star has dominated the ring for years, but experts believe a flaw in his approach needs immediate attention if he hopes to maintain his reign.

Davis, known for his explosive power and lightning-fast reflexes, has been criticized for lapses in defensive strategy during his fights. While his aggressive style has helped him secure knockouts, analysts warn that Roach Jr. is a smarter, more tactical fighter than before. If Davis underestimates his opponent, it could spell trouble in the rematch.

Former champions and trainers have voiced their concerns, urging Davis to refine his defensive movements and endurance. “Tank is one of the best, but even the best have weaknesses,” said one boxing analyst. “If he doesn’t adjust, Roach Jr. could expose him.” This warning has sparked intense discussion among fans and insiders, raising questions about whether Davis will heed the advice.

As speculation grows, all eyes are on Davis and his training camp. Will he take the warning seriously and adapt his game plan, or will his confidence lead to unexpected challenges? With so much on the line, this rematch could be one of the most defining moments of his career.

Only time will tell if Davis makes the necessary changes, but one thing is certain—boxing fans are in for a thrilling showdown. The stakes have never been higher, and the world is watching to see if “Tank” can silence his critics once again.

After Gervonta “Tank” Davis walked away from his controversial majority draw against Lamont Roach Jr., questions about whether the Baltimore native is still at his best have erupted across the boxing world.

Now, as Davis prepares for an expected rematch later this year, one veteran voice in the sport is making headlines for calling out what he sees as a critical flaw in Tank’s current game – a flaw that could cost him again if it isn’t addressed.

Gervonta Davis made his intentions perfectly clear following his fight with Lamont Roach.

The two men met earlier this month at the Barclays Center in New York, with ‘Tank’ defending his WBA lightweight title in the contest against Roach who was stepping up from super-featherweight.

The dust has yet to settle on Gervonta Davis‘ controversial March 1st clash with Lamont Roach Jr. Despite the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) upholding the draw, debates over officiating and potential favoritism continue to dominate boxing discussions.

Adding fuel to the fire, former IBF light welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi recently appeared on the Overdogs Podcast with Mike Perry, where he dissected key moments from the boxing match.

One of the biggest talking points was the ninth-round incident where Davis unexpectedly took a knee. Davis claimed he was blinded by sweat mixed with grease, but skeptics-including Malignaggi-suspect Roach landed a clean shot that forced him down.

What raised even more eyebrows was how the referee, Steve Willis, handled the moment. Malignaggi pointed out that Willis began counting but suddenly stopped when he noticed the timekeeper wasn’t keeping track. This unusual pause led Malignaggi to believe that Davis was allowed to dictate the fight’s pace-an advantage most fighters don’t get.

Another questionable moment came earlier in the fight when Davis used a shoulder barge in the clinch without receiving a warning. Roach, however, was immediately reprimanded when he responded.

Since then, negotiations related to the coveted Jake vs. KSI encounter have fallen flat several times. A recent X update from @IfnBoxing showcased Logan echoing Jake’s stance on IMPAULSIVE, as he mentioned that the weight class still stands as a hard-to-negotiate factor related to the fight.

However, the former WWE United States champion also mentioned that Jake was more eager to take on regular boxers instead of social media influencer-boxers like KSI:

“I’m trying so hard [to make the Jake vs. KSI fight], but there’s a weight problem at the moment. Jake’s technically the fat guy… [Also] he genuinely believes that he’s above influencer boxing, and he, like you, classifies KSI still in influencer boxing.”

Logan Paul has also been challenged to a wrestling showdown by an influencer

The combat sports community has often witnessed noteworthy celebrities making appearances at the WWE. Several renowned online personas like IShowSpeed have also graced the platform in the recent past. Meanwhile, Logan Paul was also challenged by an online celebrity to a wrestling match in the WWE.

The aforementioned X update from @IfnBoxing showcased a section of Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast where he hosted the 5.3 million subscriber-boasting British YouTuber, Joe Weller. It was none other than Weller who teased a match against Paul at Wrestlemania, saying:

“I love wrestling man, I’d love to be in your [Logan’s] position. I’m definitely not as popping as you are right now – there’s Speed, Kai Cenat and you in WWE out of the influencer world. Logan Paul vs. Joe Weller at WrestleMania, it’s happening. I’ll see you in the ring, I’m cashing in the Money in the Bank”. [H/T RSN]
