The roster for the upcoming Undisputed video game is already extensive. It includes superstars like Canelo Alvarez, brawlers like Eddie Hall, and even less-known fighters like George Davey.

From the start, Steel City Interactive has promised fans they would continue to add to the roster. I expect to see former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua as the next major name added to the Undisputed roster with Jake Paul not too far behind him.

Joshua is one of the biggest stars in the sport, which would make him a coveted addition to any boxing game’s roster. He’s also worked closely with Riyadh Season for his past few fights. Steel City Interactive also partners with Riyadh Season, whose logo is prominently displayed in the game’s release date announcement trailer. It only makes sense for the connection to be made between the mutual parties.

Along with Joshua, it stands to reason a good number of the heavyweights who have had a spotlight on them through Riyadh Season’s efforts to pump life back into the sport–and, more specifically, the heavyweight division–could be headed to the game’s roster. That could include Jared Anderson, who is set to face Martin Bakole on August 3 in Los Angeles.

JAKARTA – When Jake Paul scored over Mike Tyson at Arlington, Texas on November 15, 2024, many people sneered. The age difference that was too far between Tyson (58 years old) and Paul (28 years old) made the victory less meaningful.

Apparently Paul listened to the scorn, and he reacted immediately.

“I want to face Anthony Joshua!” Paul said through his social media account.

Joshua is currently 35 years old, and is almost past his golden age. The former British heavyweight world champion is also trying to restore his reputation after losing 5th round to Daniel Dubois in a match in London, 21 September 2024.

Joshua, the owner of the 28-4 (25 KO) record, has not yet declared retirement after the defeat. Even though in the middle of his 30s it was not clear, Joshua felt that he had not given up. But Paul’s view of Joshua is different.

For the influencer who ‘can’ become a pro boxer, Joshua’s career has almost run out. So instead of being able to return to the highest stairs, Joshua in Paul’s eyes will actually get worse if he continues to dream of becoming a world champion again. Because it’s just boxing for money by dealing with it, called Paul is the best for Joshua.

“I know that I can beat Joshua. He can’t stand hitting, stiff, and can’t be agile. I will beat him in an expensive duel,” Paul was quoted as saying by The Ring.

Paul’s challenge was greeted with joy by Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Anthony Joshua is eager to fight Jake Paul, according to Eddie Hearn, with the two already in direct contact to make it happen.

Paul last fought in October when he beat another former heavyweight champion – albeit one 31 years older than him in Mike Tyson –and is now desperate to secure a bout with another of the sport’s biggest names.

In Thursday, ‘The Problem Child’ directly called out Joshua, insisting the two-time world champion ‘doesn’t have a chin and has no skill’.

In response, Joshua fuelled the fire, posting a screenshot of a video call with the American, tagging him with the caption ‘2026’.

Joshua’s promoter Hearn has now revealed the fight is a very realistic prospect.

‘For me, we’d do it for the banter,’ Hearn told DAZN.

‘AJ would fight Jake Paul. He would fight anyone to be honest with you. And if Jake Paul wants to step up and fight Anthony Joshua, he will need the relevant insurance.

But the only thing that was disappointing is that he said 2026. Do it in 2025 if you really want to do it.

‘But those two have spoken, I spoke to AJ this morning and he went, “of course, I’ll fight him”.

‘Jake creates massive events, unbelievable viewership and no disrespect to Jake Paul but it’s a straight forward night’s work.

‘I like this calling out of Canelo [Alvarez] and others. AJ is another chance. But if they are game, why not?’

Asked again what Joshua said in response to the challenge, Hearn continued: “He said, “why not? Tell everyone I’ll fight anyone. It is not a problem for me.’

Jake Paul vs. Anthony JoshuaEddie Hearn thinks it could happen.

The Matchroom Boxing chairman addressed Paul’s recent comments concerning a potential matchup with Joshua, in which Paul said he will “f*cking beat Anthony Joshua’s ass.” Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion, is coming off of a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois and seeks his next big fight, and if Paul’s team is serious about making that happen then so is Hearn.

“To be honest, I look at it and I think Jake Paul against Anthony Joshua—for me, we’d do it for the banter,” Hearn said on Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel. “ ‘A.J.’ would fight Jake Paul. He’d fight anyone to be honest with you. If Jake Paul wants to step up and fight Anthony Joshua, he’ll need the relevant insurance.

“The only thing that was disappointing was he says 2026. That’s like me saying, ‘L.A. Olympics for the surfing in 2028, I’ll be there.’ Do it in 2025 if you really want to do it. You’re not going to get really much better at this stage. I don’t know. Those two have spoken, I spoke to A.J. this morning, he went, ‘Listen, of course I’d fight him.’”

Paul, a longtime YouTuber and social media influencer who has become one of boxing’s biggest stars, also seeks another big-name fight after a widely viewed clash with 58-year-old legend Mike Tyson this past November. That event, which streamed live on Netflix, shattered numerous viewership records while garnering considerable mainstream attention.

Hearn would be happy to do business with Paul, and he’s confident Joshua would as well.

“We know Jake creates massive events,” Hearn said. “You know that’s going to create unbelievable viewership and, no disrespect to Jake Paul, it’s a straightforward night’s work. But I like this calling out of Canelo [Alvarez] and all this. A.J. is another challenge up there. If they’re game, why not?”

Joshua has yet to address Paul’s comments himself, so for now Hearn is serving as his de facto spokesman. And he said whether it’s Paul or anyone else, Joshua is ready to get back in the ring.

“[Joshua] said, ‘Why not?’” Hearn said. “I said, ‘What do you want me to say when I’m asked about it?’ He said, ‘Tell everyone I’ll fight anyone, anytime, it’s not a problem for me.’”

What did Jake Paul say about Anthony Joshua?

The influencer-turned-boxer recently spoke on a podcast where he said he could ‘easily beat’ former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, whom he said has a ‘glass chin’ and challenged him to get in the ring with him.

This is what Jake Paul said about Anthony Joshua:

“I want to fight Anthony Joshua and I’m going to beat him. He has a glass chin, he has no skills, he’s a clumsy fighter. I love you Anthony, we’re friends, but I want to beat you and I’m going to do it.

Jake Paul

Joshua currently has no fight in sight, and is coming off perhaps the worst defeat of his career when he lost to Daniel Dubois last September, where the Briton was knocked out in the fifth round by his compatriot in the fight for the IBF heavyweight title.

After Jake Paul’s comments, the YouTuber-boxer revealed via his Instagram account that Anthony Joshua called him on the phone, hinting that a fight between the two boxers is not completely out of the question.

Joshua and Paul’s records

Anthony Joshua has a record of 28-4 and has been a unified heavyweight champion, as well as an Olympic champion in London 2012. However, the 35-year-old boxer has had some rather surprising and painful defeats like Dubois, against Andy Ruiz in 2019 and twice against Oleksandr Usyk.

For his part, Jake Paul has a record of 11-1, although against opponents who are either beyond retirement, such as Mike Tyson, or others in which boxing is not their main discipline, such as Nate Diaz or Anderson Silva.

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul have been hyping up the possibility of a fight after the YouTuber laid into the former champion, revealing they’d had a phone call.

Paul was speaking on his podcast when he started giving it all that about how he was sure he could win, throwing all sorts of insults at Joshua and declaring that the two-time unified world heavyweight champion ‘doesn’t have a chin’.

He said: “I want to fight Anthony Joshua because I know I will f**king beat Anthony Joshua’s a**e. He doesn’t have a chin, and he has no skill and he is stiff.

“I love you Anthony, and we are friends. But I want to fight you.”

While there are many people who would surely love to see Paul put his money where his mouth is, it would seem like quite the step up for the YouTuber-turned-boxer who most recently fought a rather old Mike Tyson.

The pair then revealed on their socials that they’d been on the phone to each other, as Joshua posted a screenshot of them calling each other which he ominously marked for ‘2026’.

Presumably this means some kind of collaboration is on the cards, but if Joshua is really teasing a fight against Jake Paul, it’s likely to be a big money maker even if it would seem to be a rather uneven matchup.

Even though he was recently defeated by Daniel Dubois, Joshua is likely still one of the finest heavyweight boxers in the world and only a handful of others are more adept in the ring.

Paul, meanwhile, has an impressive record of 11 wins and one defeat, but has not exactly faced the most illustrious competition.

Floyd Mayweather is once again making headlines in the boxing world, but this time, it’s not just about his undefeated record. The boxing legend has reportedly made a jaw-dropping demand before he agrees to step into the ring with social media sensation-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

What’s Mayweather Asking For?

Rumors are swirling that Mayweather is setting strict conditions for the potential fight. While the exact details remain under wraps, insiders suggest that his demand involves financial guarantees, fight rules, and even specific promotional rights. Given Mayweather’s history of controlling every aspect of his fights, this isn’t surprising, but it has left fans wondering—what is he really up to?

The Jake Paul Factor

Jake Paul has made a name for himself by calling out big-name fighters and delivering surprising performances in the ring. His recent wins have fueled speculation about whether he can actually go toe-to-toe with a boxing icon like Mayweather. However, with Mayweather’s latest demand, fans are questioning whether the fight will happen at all.

Will the Fight Happen?

With both fighters known for their ability to hype up matches, it’s hard to tell if this demand is a deal-breaker or just another marketing tactic. If the negotiations fall apart, fans will be left wondering what could have been. But if they agree, it could be one of the biggest spectacles in boxing history.

Stay tuned as this story develops—because when Mayweather and Jake Paul are involved, anything can happen!

The boxing world was buzzing with excitement at the thought of a potential showdown between social media sensation-turned-boxer Jake Paul and undefeated knockout artist Gervonta “Tank” Davis. However, just as fans started to dream of an electrifying fight, reports surfaced that the matchup had been blocked. So, what really went down?

The Hype Behind the Fight

Jake Paul has been making waves in the boxing world, taking on former UFC stars and veteran fighters while building a reputation as an entertainer who can back up his talk. Gervonta Davis, on the other hand, is a proven boxing champion with devastating power and an undefeated record. A clash between the two would have been a blockbuster event, drawing millions of viewers and generating massive pay-per-view revenue.

Who Blocked the Fight?

Several factors reportedly led to the fight being shut down:

  1. Promotional Conflicts – Davis is closely tied to Mayweather Promotions and PBC, while Paul is aligned with Most Valuable Promotions. The two sides rarely do business together, making negotiations complicated.
  2. Weight Class Differences – Jake Paul usually fights around 185 lbs, while Gervonta competes in the lightweight division (135 lbs). A weight disparity of this magnitude posed significant concerns.
  3. Sanctioning Issues – Boxing commissions take matchmaking seriously, and a fight between a seasoned world champion and a relatively inexperienced boxer like Paul could have raised red flags.
  4. Gervonta’s Response – “Tank” Davis himself didn’t seem too interested in the fight, calling out Paul for not being on his level.

Jake Paul’s Reaction

Never one to back down from controversy, Jake Paul took to social media to express his frustration. He hinted that certain “powers in boxing” were preventing him from facing high-profile opponents and teased that he would continue pursuing big fights, despite the roadblocks.

What’s Next?

With this fight off the table, Jake Paul is now looking for another big-name opponent. Will it be another MMA fighter, a former champion, or a boxing legend willing to step in? Meanwhile, Gervonta Davis remains focused on defending his title and maintaining his undefeated record.

One thing is for sure—this drama isn’t over, and Jake Paul will keep pushing the boxing world’s buttons.

Jake Paul continued: “And so there I am: No money, kind of hating myself, the whole world hates me. I’m drinking. I’m depressed and not having a good relationship with either of my parents or Logan. …I just felt wrong in life and by all the cards I had been dealt. It was (expletive up). I just tried to do good my whole life and here I am with what felt like nothing”

And, no, Paul said he did not go through with his catastrophic plan.

“I was not going to let them win,” he said. “I was like, ‘I’m going to fight. This is what every social media hater wants is to wake up and see Jake Paul killed himself.’ ”

Paul, who embarked on a pro boxing careeer in 2020, said the sport saved his life. He is 10-1 with seven knockouts and also co-founded Most Valuable Promotions, which manages a stable of fighters that include Amanda Serrano, a multiple-time world champion.

“It’s purpose, routine, health, community — all the things I needed,” he said. “Since 2020, it’s been boxing’s number one and everything else comes after that. I never really liked YouTube. I was just good at it.”

Jake Paul says he was physically abused by his father

Paul said his dad physically abused him and his brother, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and that the abuse lasted from childhood until the brothers left for Los Angeles in their late teens.

“He was punching us, slapping us, throwing us down the stairs, throwing things at us, mental abuse, manipulation,” said Jake Paul, who later explained, “say he’s on the phone, and my brother and I were whispering to each other. And he’s like, ‘Quit (expletive) whispering!’ and whips something at my head. There’s punishment and then there’s abuse. He just took his anger out on us. He’s going through a divorce, losing everything — and we were the closest people to him.’

Jake Paul might stir up controversies left and right, but when it comes to his girlfriend, he’s nothing but a rock. Since getting together in April 2023, we’ve seen him go all out for Jutta Leerdam. He’s always front and center, cheering at the top of his lungs. Earlier this year, the 2022 Beijing Olympic silver medalist proved yet again why she’s one of the best in the game. She dominated the National Sprint Championship, winning her fourth Dutch sprint title with a blistering 1000m time of 1 minute and 14 seconds. And get this, she beat Chloe Hoogendoorn just a day before her birthday. Talk about a double celebration! And of course, Jake was right there by her side, soaking it all in.
